Mariah Carey is delving into her relationship, and subsequent divorce from Nick Cannon in her new memoir “The Meaning of Mariah Carey.”

“Honestly, I think Nick and I could have worked it out between the two of us, but egos and emotions got inflamed (which can translate into many billable lawyer hours, and ultimately it did),” she wrote (via People). “It was tough. We both wanted to make sure everything was cool for our family. We will always be family, and we make it work.”

“He was a good guy. He was faith-based. He was ambitious,” she said about getting together. “He had been in the entertainment industry for a long time, so he understood the madness. He paid attention to me.”

And she also revealed why they got married so quickly: their desire to have kids. They began dating in 2008 and married that same year, six weeks later. They filed for divorce in 2015.

“Our desire to have children became a force of nature and why we got married so quickly,” she wrote. They are parents to twins Moroccan and Monroe, 9.

Kanye West Responds to Allegations That He's Being Paid By Republican Party to Be a Distraction & Get Trump Re-Elected

Kanye West is responding to the allegation that the Trump team is paying him to be a distraction to help Donald Trump get elected for a second Presidential term.

Kanye went on Nick Cannon‘s podcast, where Nick spoke about the allegation that the Trump team is “paying you to do what you’re doing to be a distraction.”

“Bro, can’t nobody pay me. I got more money than Trump!” Kanye responded.

“I’m not running for President…I’m walking,” Kanye responded when asked if he’s really running.

You can watch the clip over at TMZ. The full podcast does not come out until Tuesday (September 1).

If you missed it, Kanye has some legit celebrity supporters who have said they will be voting for him, or are generally showing their support for him, if he’s on the ballot.

Kevin Hart Reveals Why He Decided to Defend Ellen DeGeneres & Nick Cannon

Kevin Hart is revealing why he decided to defend Ellen DeGeneres, as well as Nick Cannon recently amid controversies.

“Well, I don’t lose sight of the definition of friendship, and in our business, it’s one thing that people don’t really hold on to. There’s a lot of relationships that are fake, and there’s some that are real. In my case, the ones that are real are the ones that I’m always going to be adamant about speaking on behalf of. I know the people that both of them are, and knowing the people, all I can say is my experiences with those people. That’s not to take away from what other people are saying that they have had, and that they have done. It’s just to highlight what I’m saying I know, and what I can speak on behalf of,” Kevin told Deadline. “In times like this, I know also how dark it gets. I know how lonely it gets, because I know that these are times when people just turn their back on you. So for the ones that you love, that are close to your heart, you just want them to have some support, when it seems that there is none out there, and that’s just who I am as a person.”

He added, “That goes for anybody, across the board, that I consider a friend, and that’s not a big group of people. Everybody doesn’t get that conversation and that feeling from me, but the ones that do, I’m serious about it. I’m true to it, and it doesn’t mean that you have to speak on behalf of the problem. It doesn’t mean that you have to disregard the things that others are saying. It means that I can just speak on my relationship with my friends. When it comes to Nick, and it comes Ellen, I know who they are, and I know who they’ve been for the years that I’ve been around them, and I can only speak to that. Those are two of the most amazing people that I know.”

Kevin and Ellen recently met up for lunch together.

“Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…2020 is definitely the most f–ked up year I’ve ever witnessed! After waking up & barely rising from my own dark contemplation of continuing my physical existence on this planet, this powerful warrior actually had the balls to do it,” he wrote.

“I’ve said it once and I will say it again, this was the strongest dude I’ve ever met! Just over a year ago a San Diego Police Officer rushed in his home and unjustifiably shot him placing him in a coma for months. I stood by his bedside and promised him that if he made it out & fought the good fight that I would make his dream come true and put his album out and share his story with the world. He fought and fought, he woke up, they stitched him up, he learned to walk and talk again and within months we were back in the studio recording,” he went on to say.

“Even through his strength he would whisper to me that ‘Everything Still Hurts’ His music was definitely his safe haven and it was amazing. Paying for lawyers, putting money in his pocket, even putting the music together all meant nothing because I feel like I failed my little brother,” he added.

“The Cops will get away with shooting another kid, everyone will just look at this as yet another loving farewell post, but to me @ryanbowersob was so much more than that. Once again my brother you have put this world in perspective for me. You would do that quite often because I never understood how someone who was experiencing sooo much pain could still laugh and smile through it all. This photo was the last time we seen each other in person. It was your first show back! Soldout crowd in our hometown San Diego and you rocked it!! You were so happy!! Proved to so many that you could do it and that you were Super Human! The greatest comeback I ever saw!! We almost made it little bro! But I guess even flying Super Heros have to land eventually. But I am certain that your energy will never die and your Spirit is eternal, so I ask you still to forgive me for letting you down Warrior. I can’t help but think if I wasnt so engulfed in my own bullshit I could’ve been there for you when you finally took your life after several attempts… F–k this place!! #CantWin #ForLosing🙏”

We are sending our condolences to Ryan Bowers‘ loved ones, and also our positive thoughts to Nick Cannon.
