Harry Styles is making history!

The 26-year-old “Watermelon Sugar” singer was nominated as a solo artist for the first time at the 2021 Grammys on Wednesday (November 24).

His three nominations also made him the first One Direction member to receive Grammy Award nominations.

Harry was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for Fine Line, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance for “Watermelon Sugar” and Best Music Video for “Adore You.”

Aside from Grammy nominations, Harry‘s Billboard 200 No. 1 sophomore album also broke the record as the biggest sales debut from an English male artist in the United States.

Harry Styles is setting the record straight on any rumors that say he was unhappy during his time with One Direction.

Instead, the 26-year-old musician is singing the group’s praises in his new Vogue cover story.

“I think the typical thing is to come out of a band like that and almost feel like you have to apologize for being in it. But I loved my time in it,” Harry shared. “It was all new to me, and I was trying to learn as much as I could.”

He added, “I wanted to soak it in…I think that’s probably why I like traveling now — soaking stuff up.”

Harry was part of the group from its inception alongside Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik. Zayn left the group just a year before they went on hiatus in 2016.

All five now have solo careers.

The boy band is celebrating their 10 year anniversary with a massive celebration on Thursday (July 23).

As part of the celebrations, the group released a special “10 Years of One Direction” video, compiling sweet, nostalgic moments throughout their career, from catapulting to success from their very first single post-X Factor to establishing their legacy as one of the most popular boy bands ever.

In addition, 1D also released a special remastered version of their music video for “What Makes You Beautiful” in 4K ultra HD. There’s even more planned in the coming days – see the schedule!

The “What Makes You Beautiful” boy band is marking the 10th anniversary of their formation with a special release schedule, kicking off on Thursday (July 23).

“Watch the remastered ‘What Makes You Beautiful video in 4K ultra HD on YouTube now and see what else is to come,” they teased, along with a schedule of releases.

The boys will also be releasing a “10 Years of One Direction,” video on the same day, a “Live While We’re Young” remastered video on Friday (July 24), a “Story of My Life” remastered video on Saturday (July 25), a “Steal My Girl” remastered video on Sunday (July 26), a “History” remastered video on Monday (July 27), and finally, the Where We Are Tour DVD live stream on Tuesday (July 28).

Four of the five original members of One Direction celebrated the band’s 10th anniversary on Thursday (July 23) with some heartfelt messages on social media.

Zayn Malik, who left the band in 2015, has not yet said anything about the milestone.

“I’ve been struggling to put into words how grateful I am for everything that’s happened over the last ten years. I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dreamt of when I was growing up,” Harry wrote in a series of posts.

“It’s such a major part of our lives and always will be. Cheers to US today boys and thank you to all you beautiful people who have supported us over the last 10 years,” Niall said.

The band also returned to Instagram for the first time in years.

One Direction hasn’t posted on Instagram for 219 very long weeks…until today!

The band returned to the social media platform ahead of the 10 year anniversary of the band’s formation, which is tomorrow.

The band announced a hiatus years ago and original members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan all pursued solo careers.

Zayn Malik and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid are expecting their first child together and his former One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne, send his congratulations via Instagram Live.

“Also this week, didn’t really wanna leave it out, wanted to make sure I said something on my own place before I started getting asked about it relentlessly by everybody,” Liam told his fans during his Instagram Live over the weekend. “I just wanted to say congratulations to Zayn and Gigi obviously, you know, they’re having a baby.”

Liam himself is a dad to a son Bear, born in 2017, with his ex Cheryl Cole.

There’s reportedly some One Direction news that does not involve Zayn.
