Chad Michael Murray to Play Serial Killer Ted Bundy in New Movie 'American Boogeyman'

Chad Michael Murray is the latest actor to take on a killer role.

The 39-year-old One Tree Hill and Riverdale actor has signed on to play infamous serial killer Ted Bundy in the upcoming movie American Boogeyman, Screen Daily reports.

Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming thriller: “Set in a gritty and decadent 1970s America, American Boogeyman follows the elusive and charming killer and the manhunt that brought him to justice involving the detective and the FBI rookie who coined the phrase ‘serial killer.’”

Chad is the latest actor to take on the role of Ted Bundy. He’s also been portrayed by Zac Efron in the 2019 movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, James Marsters in the 2008 movie The Capture of the Green River Killer, Cary Elwes in the 2004 movie The Riverman, Billy Campbell in the 2003 movie The Stranger Beside Me, Michael Reilly Burke in the 2002 movie Ted Bundy, and Mark Harmon in the 1986 movie The Deliberate Stranger.

American Boogeyman, written and directed by Daniel Farrands, is scheduled to be released on September 20. The movie will also star Insidious actress Lin Shaye and Teen Wolf actress Holland Roden.

Details for the Halina Reijn-directed movie are being kept under wraps, but sources are describing the project as a “secret slasher film.”

There are rumors going around that Pete Davidson and Myha’la Herrold are in talks to join the cast of Bodies, Bodies, Bodies.

This is the second new movie in the works for Maria. Last month, it was announced that she has joined the star-studded cast of Judd Apatow‘s upcoming Netflix movie.

Nicole Richie & Shannon Woodward Cast in New ABC Comedy Pilot 'Bucktown'

Nicole Richie and Shannon Woodward are teaming up for a new show!

The two actresses have signed on to star in the upcoming pilot for the new comedy series Bucktown, Deadline reports.

Here’s the synopsis: “Bucktown centers on Amy (Woodward), who, after being dumped by her boyfriend and kicked out of her apartment on the eve of a big promotion, finds refuge at her mom’s house in the blue-collar neighborhood where she grew up. Amy reconnects with her teenage niece living there due to her sister’s latest rehab stint and resolves to stay when she realizes that her mom and niece aren’t quite equipped to go it alone.”

Nicole will be playing Jan, Amy’s boss. Her character is described as “a self-centered force who tends to suck up all the energy in a room” that has an “extremely unprofessional partnership” with her husband, Finn.

It was recently revealed that this reality star used to be Nicole Richie‘s assistant!

Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell & More Join Ron Howard's New Movie 'Thirteen Lives'

Three big-name actors will be starring in Ron Howard‘s new movie!

Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, and Joel Edgerton have signed on to star in the 67-year-old director’s new movie 13 Lives, Deadline reports.

Here’s the synopsis for 13 Lives: “The film tells the true story of the rescue of twelve boys and their soccer coach from a flooded, impenetrable cave system in Thailand in 2018. Thai families, the government, and a community of farmers and neighbors came together alongside volunteers from around the world to get them out of the Tham Luang Nang Non cave system in Chiang Rai Province. Among the volunteers were veteran British cave divers John Volanthen, Richard Stanton, Jason Mallinson, Chris Jewell, Josh Bratchley, Connor Roe, and Vernon Unsworth; Australian cave diver Dr. Richard Harris and Thai native Thanet Natisri. The harrowing 18-day ordeal made headlines around the world. Thirteen Lives shares their story.”

The cast also includes Weir Sukollawat, Thiraphat Sajakul, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Vithaya Pansringarm, Teeradon “James” Supapunpinyo, Nophand Boonyai, Tom Bateman, Paul Gleeson, and Lewis Fitz-Gerald.

Production for 13 Lives is set to begin this month, with filming taking place in both Australia and Thailand.

Annie Murphy Joins Netflix's 'Russian Doll' for Season Two

More exciting casting news for Annie Murphy!

It has been announced that the 34-year-old Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek actress has signed on for season two of the Netflix series Russian Doll, TV Line reports.

As of right now, details about Annie‘s character are being kept under wraps, but it has been revealed that production for season two began this week.

Russian Doll, which premiered in 2019, stars Natasha Lyonne as Nadia Vulvokov, a coder who is forced to re-live her 36th birthday on a nightmarish loop when she keeps dying and coming back to life.

Annie‘s Russian Doll casting comes a week after it was announced that she will be starring in a new dysfunctional family movie with Ben Platt and Allison Janney.

Quavo to Make Film Debut in 'Wash Me in the River' Alongside Robert De Niro

Quavo is heading to the big screen!

The 29-year-old Migos rapper will be making his movie debut in the upcoming movie Wash Me in the River, Variety reports.

The film focuses “on a recovering opioid addict who seeks revenge on the dealer (Coyote) responsible for selling the drugs that resulted in his lover’s death.”

Quavo will be playing Coyote, who is described as a “ruthless and heartless drug lord.”

Quavo will be starring in the film directed by Randall Emmett alongside Robert De Niro, John Malkovich, Machine Gun Kelly, and Jack Huston.

“I honestly think this movie is going to be one of the greatest to come of this time,” Quavo said in a statement. “The experience was unbelievable for me, with Robert De Niro and Jack Huston being so down to earth and making me feel like family. Gonna see me doing some stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps! This is one of my biggest debuts I’ve ever had, and so proud of what we did and to get to work with Randall who’s such an amazing guy — I can’t wait to do more films with him.”

While this is the first movie Quavo will be appearing in, he has appeared in several TV shows including Narcos: Mexico, Atlanta, and black-ish.
